This policy should also be revised to exclude the housing allowance of military families living in off post housing when determining the eligibility for free or reduced school lunches.

It is not fair that military families living on post do not have their housing allowance included as income when determining "eligibility" but off post families do, rendering many military families living off post with an increased financial burden.

Off post families already face significantly increased living expenses then their on post counter parts. Therefore, they need to benefit of reduced lunch programs the most.

The policy should be fair and exclude utilizing the housing allowance as in come for BOTH on post and off post families. The policy, as it is written is discriminatory and unfair to military families who live in off post housing.
