July 8, 2009, 6:57pm (report abuse)no. another attempt by the administration to correct the problem by passing more restrictive and tax increasing laws. those who are producers supporting the masses who are too lazy, too incompetent, too uneducated (usually through their own fault). i feel no responsibility towards those who refuse to help themselves by finding jobs which include healthcare. that has always been a priority in my life, paying my own way. not expecting others to carry me because I was stupid enough to quit learning to better my situation. I guess as long as the irresponsible have beer and cigarettes, and us to support them, they are happy for us to give them healthcare, too.
NO,NO,NO.
responsiblity
July 17, 2009, 6:08pm (report abuse)Catastrophic health care insurance could be made available to help patients and families hit with the high costs associated with cancer, open heart surgery and other such expensive medical problems that exceed a certain percentage of a patient's income, however, I am VERY MUCH AGAINST the government intruding between me and my doctor in any way whatsoever, by dictating forms of treatment, rationing health care, etc. This bill seems to punish the "rich" for their achievements, and rewards the deadbeats to whom I do not feel I owe a living. Of course there are sad cases trotted out by the pols to gin up our pity, but maybe it would be better to work on the problem of the 40% of children being born out of wedlock, whose irresponsible parents throw onto the system for the rest of us to support while they continue their smoking, doping and promiscuity with no consequences to them. We're broke America. Get real!
tired of it
October 29, 2009, 8:37pm (report abuse)This is so stupid, how in the world can the government take care of our health concerns when they are running our country into the ground
