(logged-in user) March 17, 2010, 12:32pm (report abuse)Here is the opinion of a Decendent of Hawaiian Blood who now lives in Florida.This bill should pass even though their are many disagreements amoung the Hawaiian People(myself included) as to, the way it will be and, the who it will be to decide the future of the Hawaiian Nation. Here is an example: I think the vast track of Hawaiian Homes Land on the coast near Hilo should become a Hawaiian Nation reservation where anyone who can prove Hawaiian Blood by a birth certificate should be given land to build and live on. The best land should go to those who have been waiting on the homelands waiting list,then to those having the higest blood percent. It would be similar to Homesteading and land must be used.The Hawaiian People are not united, it is time to move ahead for the good of all, espically the next generation who have little hope of land ownership due to the price of land in Hawaii.Lets agree to disagree but to see this first historic step and support the passing of s.381
