The Elder Abuse Victims act is non partisan milestone legislation in the fight to protect our senior citizens from the scourge of elder abuse. Our Federal Government in passing this bill recognizes the need for action on a National Level. Seniors are vulnerable members of our society whose contributions we will recognize by affording them the protections of S.1821.
Elder Abuse is a pervasive institutionalized practice, that can best be fought from the Federal Level.
My Mother Lillian Glasser was a victim of Financial Elder Abuse orchestrated by Goldman Sachs, and carryed out by numerous professionals in 4 states. The Financial Elder Abuse lead to Physical Elder Abuse, Captivity and Psychological Torture.
The legal and regulatory environments currently in place in the US are incubators for elder abuse. The time to stop it is now, and the vehicle is S.1821

I have followed the Glasser case for several years now. Anyone who cares to can see the horrible tenticles of greed and corruption that are woven through it. Is there no one with any degree of authority who has the chutzpa to step forward and put an end to woman's suffering?

The case of Nancy Golin, an adult developmentally disabled woman, who was kidnapped from her family by police and placed in secret confinement for eleven months, neglected, wrongfully imprisoned and battered, demonstrates the importance of extending this law's coverage to incapacitated adults. The fox guarding the henhouse is a clever fox who has scammed the public with propaganda for years into believing he is the hens’ only savior, while he not only steals the chickens, eats the hens and robs them blind but gets paid by the government for doing it and gets it to pass laws to force everyone else to help him do it, and gets a pat on the back besides, in the name of supposed protection. This is a national disgrace.

The inquiry must be taken out of the hands of the foxes by excluding APS and putting them under the microscope and put in the hands of professional investigators that can recognize fraud, theft, racketeering and murder, on a federal level, free from state influence.

Guardianships have become more about making money & less about protecting. Estates are being looted and families are being abused in elaborate litigation schemes designed to enrich lawyers & professional guardians. We called Delaware APS to help an elderly woman who was suffering from abuse. They said file for guardianship. Most of my foster mom’s money went to lawyers & guardians; the rest was stolen AFTER I filed the petition! As the money ran out I was appointed co-guardian only to find myself a victim of extortion. The lawyer sued me for the guardianship legal fees! The thief who pled guilty to exploitation has not paid a single dime of restitution. I had to take a loan on my home to pay the attorney. A guardianship filed to stop Abuse resulted in legal abuse, cost my foster mom $200,000, cost me over $70,000 and destroyed my life. The taxpayers picked up the tab and care for my mom in Texas.
