S. 1128, The Atomic Veterans Service Medal Act (1 comment ↓)

S. 1128 would authorize the award of a military service medal to members of the Armed Forces who were exposed to ionizing radiation as a result of participation in the testing of nuclear weapons or under other circumstances.

I have heard of some atomic vets that would very much to have an atomic service medal. One in Particular is in very bad shape and would love to be able to show it off a little for his friends when they go to see this bed-ridden. Atomic Veteran. I am of mind that the majority of this radiated veterans would like one. it was no small accomplishment to be present at one of these monsters when it did it's thing. Some of them are scared for life with those memories. Frank 41R4D
