Bernice/Spouse of deceased Veteran
September 15, 2009, 11:30pm (report abuse)To be fair, if this bill does not pass, is to introduce a bill to lower income of other deceased U.S Government workers spouses to 43 percent too. The spouse of a Veteran receives DIC income from the VA. Our income is also at a Federal level. I view this as discrimination against Veterans.

October 17, 2009, 3:38pm (report abuse)Is there some reason Bernice is not correct? Should this bill not pass I feel that all Federal employee spouses should take a cut to the rate of the surviving spouse of a Military/veteran. Why should we be entitled to so much less? What is fair is fair. If the surviving spouse of any Federal employee receives 55% why does the surviving spouse of a military/Veteran receive between 42% and 43%? After all they were Federal workers also.K8GW2
