S. 1067 would support stabilization and lasting peace in northern Uganda and areas affected by the Lord's Resistance Army through development of a regional strategy to support multilateral efforts to successfully protect civilians and eliminate the threat posed by the Lord's Resistance Army and to authorize funds for humanitarian relief and reconstruction, reconciliation, and transitional justice.

(logged-in user) December 21, 2009, 11:33am (report abuse)I find it just simply amazing that some one in our congress would even ask if we are interested in giving .25 to save Uganda. 10 yrs ago I would have said yes , 5 yrs ago I would have said yes. Today "HELL NO". We are way past our eyeballs in debt and you ask that stupid question. Yea we have big hearts and we bleed for the world, but please give me a major break....

December 26, 2009, 12:43pm (report abuse)We're $12 TRILLION in debt and headed for a hyperinflationary depression. We should be fixing our economy and tossing out the spendsters, not giving away more debt-dollars to foreign states.
