June 9, 2009, 8:49am (report abuse)This is an outstanding resolution. I have been trying to find answers on this for 9 years in preparing to retire. Confusion has reigned supreme. Thank you for all sponsors of this bill. Please do no let it die. One other thing. There are serious tax questions that would be great if addressed in this legislation. But don't let it kill the bill. We all have already payed taxes on the Gross amount. So how about payback the Net. Thanks for listening.

July 3, 2009, 9:43am (report abuse)I realized that I would have to pay back my separation incentive if I ever managed to retire. However, never did I realize that my recoupment would amount to almost 75% of my retirement pay! When I retired from the Navy, I did not get a pension. Rather, I got a mortgage. This is no way to treat veterans during a time of war. Please write your congressional representatives to voter favorably upon this bill.
