Americans Want To Work

March 4, 2010, 12:16am (report abuse)

Congress, Americans Want to Work. Would you create a "Clean Jobs" bill and give great incentives to the private sector, small businesses and medium size businesses that will hire those that have been unemployed through no fault of their own so that they will have monetary reasons to hire unemployed people without it being a lost on their end. Of course, along with those great incentives that I'm sure you will come up with. It should also have some guidelines such as: they must retain the newly hire unemployed personnel at least for 18 months in order to qualify for the incentives unless the newly hired person must be terminatd for cause. The bill should be attractive in its incentives so that businesses will want to hire immediately.

Our livelihood is in your hands. Lets turn the economy around for the WORLD to see and admire how the United States is still the best country in the WORLD to live in. And, we do take care of our own.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

BO is acting as if he's on drugs with that Obamacare. He just can't get enough. The American people have spoken and he acting like a junkie that need a fix. He want that Health Care Bill to pass and pass within two weeks. He need a fix. But, he may have to go to rehab to get it. The American people don't want it because you want something that you can't pay for, regulate or monitor. Your past performance in providing health care (ie, medicaid and medicare) don't have a passig grade. So, you are being held back in the class until you can run what you already have (medicaid and medicare).

EMERGENCY UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION UPDATE (EUC) – March 3, 2010

IMPORTANT NOTICE - March 3, 2010

The United States Congress has extended the Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC) Program. The current extension is for 30 days while a longer extension is considered.

With the 30 day extension, claimants who will exhaust their first 26 weeks of Maryland unemployment insurance (UI) benefits through the claim week ending March 27, 2010, will now be eligible to file for EUC benefits. Claimants will receive notification in the mail that they are eligible to file for these benefits. Claimants who are currently receiving EUC benefits will continue to receive them at this time.

March 4, 2010, 12:57am (report abuse)

@7:52pm

No. Thats not what that mean. When your Tier IV runs out there are no other tiers unless someone in congress introduces a bill for an additional tier and or add more weeks to Tier IV and include all 50 States. Because, as it stands, not all states in this country qualified for Tier IV. That was a major problem in this country.

So what happen to HR 4707

March 4, 2010, 12:58am (report abuse)

To extend unemployment expiration dates through fiscal year 9.30.10. Why can't Congress add amendment to add additional weeks to Tier IV. HR 3548 passed in 11/09 they can change text P.L.111.92 change Tier IV to Tier V adding 20 weeks. They have do something before SPRING BREAK that includes ALL of the unemployed. There's so many Bill numbers floating around that I'm becoming dizzy.

Well, actually it would be much better is they would amend P.L. 111-92 to add an additional Tier V for all 50 states for 20 weeks until December 31, 2010. That along will help tremendously in this country because they are millions who just can't find employment because there are NO jobs avaliable to accomodate that many people until they (congress) decide to be a little generous with incentives for the private sectors which includes small and medimum size companies to hire the unemployed in this country. The private sector has been in the past the largest employers in this country. But, because of the greed and corruption that we have faced the private sector was hit extremely hard. While the federal government bailed-out those who were responsible for this our economic woes the private sector has been ignored.
