Detailed Summary
<b>(This measure has not been amended since it was reported to the House on September 8, 2009. The summary of that version is repeated here.) </b>
Directs the Administrator of General Services (GSA) to offer to convey to the Galveston Historical Foundation the parcel of federal real property located at 502 20th Street in Galveston, Texas, including improvements.
Requires the Galveston Historical Foundation to pay to the Administrator, as consideration for the conveyance of the parcel, the fair market value of such parcel, based upon an appraisal that is acceptable to the Administrator.
Makes the Galveston Historical Foundation responsible for the costs of the appraisal and for all other costs related to such conveyance.
Requires the deposit of any proceeds received as consideration as described above into the Federal Buildings Fund. Makes amounts in such Fund available for expenditure for any lawful purpose, with the Administrator providing to specified congressional committees 30 days advance written notice of any such expenditure.
