For God's sake...for Almighty God's sake, can we not just storm Capitol Hill right now, go up to Diktater Pelosi, and remove the gavel from her pathetic grip? Can we just do it? Because each day that this witch and her crew of sickos run the US House of Representatives is one more day that they continue to soil the US Constitution and this great country. Pelosi et al. have treated the American people like an old diaper. I wish it was November 2 right now, so we could remove these thugs from office ASAP.

My God, please let us get rid of this crowd soon. They are destroying this country.

Is this a typo? I looked up H.R.1586, and it is a resolution to express... "support for designation of the first week of August as 'National Family Business Week'.

There is nothing in there about taxes.

In fact, I can find no bill worded like the bill described in this article on record: http://frwebgate.access.gpo.gov/cgi-bin/BillBrowse.cgi?dbname=111_cong_bills&wrapperTemplate=all111bills_wrapper.html&billtype=all

What you looked up is H. Res. 1586, not H.R. 1586. H. Res. is short for House Resolution. They're often ceremonial or administrative.

It is time to vote every Senator and Congressman who is currently in office and who has served more than one term. That's the only way to remove the fraud and lying from this group of people. Sure we may get some untried individuals, but then it would be possible to pass a one term only legislation for each future representative of our nation. An untried rep is preferred over the current corrupt ones in office.

I read on this website that the bill will cost the average family $126. I hope they use it to buy me a nice dinner, because I expect to be taken out to eat before I'm SCREWED.

They don't write the bills.

They don't read the bills once they've been ghost-written by nameless, faceless lobbyists.

They don't know what the bills will do or how they'll work, but they assure us voters that it's going to be hunky-dory, and we'll just have to pass the bill -won't we- to see how all its super-duper wonderfulness unfolds.

And, now, they've degenerated to the point they can't even put a NAME to the freakin' legislation that they don't write and can't be bothered to read.

At what point can we impeach every last chicken-lickin' one of these drooling morons who continues to accept payment (from us, the taxpayers) for services DEFINITELY NOT RENDERED?

Time to vote them ALL out - send YOUR Senators and Representatives the message "Sorry, Charlie, your gravy train just ended!"

My fellow Americans....IT'S TIME FOR "R I C O".!! (RACKETEER INFLUENCED & CORRUPT ORGANIZATIONS-ACT). Organized Crime is alive & flourishing in Washington. This Democrat progressive leftist Congress must be charged with corruption & deceptive practices against America & all its peoples. Democrats have perverted subversion & sedition to an unprecedented level. Under "RICO", any person who is a member of an enterprise(Congress) who commits "crimes" over an extended period, can be charged with "Racketeering"! Abraham Lincoln stated: "We the People are the rightful masters of both Congress & the Courts, not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution". It's time to "seek & destroy" all politicians who are perverting the very foundations of our great Nation. All politicians must be held accountable, procecuted & jailed for crimes committed against the American people. VOTE...use it or lose it.

The greed of getting something for nothing is what perverts everyone in this feasco. Health insurance perverts the whole medical industry. Government handouts perverts itself and the voters. Just say no thank you to hand outs. There is no free lunch at the expense of others. The government and its tax code wants to cause everyone to lie cheat and steal and after you have gone to the dark side you will be hooked for life. Greed is the cause of our ongoing afliction and everyone is to blame. Just say no November 2.

The bill as quoted here has been stricken in its entirety and replaced by a bill funding teachers and preventing the states from having to lay off first responders; that's the bill that passed. Click on the "read the bill" link or go to http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/D?c111:7:./temp/~c1112oHjKa::

BTW: the bill, as passed, is fully funded (no impact on the deficit)

Firstly - Do not reply until you have read the bill.

The only "problem" with this country is the fact that everyone appears to be so swayed by things like "Cost per average family" above and how "Dems are pushing america further into debt". I know we all have less time than we would like, but seriously it took me 30 mins to find the actual budget on a .gov website that shows exactly how much money the executive branch of our government has spent after Obama was elected.

2009 - lowest federal budget compared to GDP since 1959

Stop allowing things like "Cost per average family" make Americans look like we are all autistic please. Bottom line - this bill does not cost the average family anything. It taxes anyone that makes over 250k a year that works for a company that received TARP money from BUSH.

A bill to get back a chunk of the taxpayers money that was given away to a bunch of rich incompetents that don't even deserve their paychecks never mind their bonuses and we find that there are people who complain about getting their money back? If nobody supports ways in which the TARP funds find their way back to the government THEN it will be the average family that pays.

An elected representative in this day should should be outraged to be asked to vote for an "unamed" act.

Anyone who did, as opposed to rejecting it for failing to meet the minimum bar for sanity needs to return to private service.

A wholesale vote of no confidence seems self-evident.

And my faith in government goes another hundred feet in the opposite direction. When will they learn that due process is there for a reason? When you start skipping the checks and balances, it allows for corruption to leak in. Unfortunately, it might be too late and Obama really doesn't give a flying _____.

There are good and bad things in this bill -- the reason I wouldn't support it, is that it looks like a laundry list of unrelated items -- what does aviation safety have to do with TARP recovery? Or with helping states with education cost (ie keeping teachers).

There are no doubt supports/opposers to each of those items, but who supports all the little weird items in the bill 100% or oppose 100%. I only want to see related items in bills together, so honest debate on issues can come out, not black mailing votes - if you don't vote for this crap, you don't get the money you need to keep from firing all the teachers in your state kind of nonsense
