February 20, 2009, 12:47pm (report abuse)The use of computer-adaptive tests is supported by research indicating that adaptive tests are more precise, provide more information in the same amount of testing time, provide results much more quickly, and avoid a frustrating testing experience for low-achieving students (Yeh, 2006). For these reasons, teachers and administrators have a strong preference for computer-adaptive tests.
