H.R. 65, The Military Success in Iraq Commemoration Act of 2009 (2 comments ↓)

H.R. 65 would recognize the extraordinary performance of the Armed Forces in achieving the military objectives of the United States in Iraq, and it would encourage the President to issue a proclamation calling upon the people of the United States to observe a national day of celebration commemorating military success in Iraq.

The waste of American lives and wealth in the name of Operation Iraqi Freedom does not warrant a celebration. OIF needs to end, and does not need a national holiday in its "honor".

The vets need to be commended for their extraordinary efforts. Harry Reid was WRONG when he said the war was lost. BUSH WAS RIGHT.
