(logged in user) August 24, 2009, 6:54pm (report abuse)It's about time that someone cared about the spouses' of disabled Vietnam Vets. Us and our family members have seen our loved ones go through hell and it has changed not just our spouses forever but also the family of these heroes. Retired military spouses are taken care of financially with no questions asked so why not the spouses and families of a disabled veteran.

September 15, 2009, 1:01pm (report abuse)I am so glad that finally someone is going to help the spouses of the veterans who died of non service connected deaths. They should have changed the 10 year period along time ago. We had to stand and watch our loved ones suffer then die and now noone seems to care. So thatnk you for introducing this bill, I am keeping my fingers crossed.

October 22, 2009, 9:43pm (report abuse)Is HR 2980 law yet? It is October 22, 2009, and I can not find any statement that Mr.Bob Filner's HR 2980 is law, or it is dead again.
