August 17, 2009, 8:28am (report abuse)After reading the main parts of this bill, and the associated "analysis" or summary of this bill...it's evident to me that this bill is "overkill" and would be cost-prohibitively expensive (adding almost $2billion to the national budget!). Further, this proposed legislation allows " carte blanche" autocratic approach by Food & Drug Administration which would be especially harmful to the small family farms across the U.S. This bill would only serve to further tax (increased application fees to offset its exhorbitant cost) or penalize the small family farmers of America.

September 17, 2009, 10:45am (report abuse)This bill is in complete contradiction to what health promotion is about. We need to financially support and encourage the growth of small family and local farming as well as organic production to counteract what the FDA has allowed to be included in our foods already: POISON. Thus, the obesity epidemic and chronic health conditions.
