October 13, 2009, 1:12pm (report abuse)This Bill is long overdue. While quality teachers, administrators, and adequate funding are vital to our schools, you cannot operate a school without classified staff. They are essential in student learning, and essential in every aspect of day to day operation. These positions typically offer substandard pay and benefits with incumbants working two or more jobs to make ends meet. Let's show these people that we appreciate their contributions as we do with teachers and administrators in this country.
