H.R. 1633 would amend title 10, United States Code, to authorize a member of the Armed Forces to designate anyone as the person authorized to direct disposition of the remains of the member if the member dies while on active duty.

It is sad the government could ever tell an adopted step parent they can not be the person to be the designated person a soldiers remains go to for burial. This act needs adopted ASAP.!!
