Who does a person call/contact to give their name, address, ss#, etc., in order to receive this benefit??? My father (who died in 2003) was a WWII Veteran and my mother is his survivor and could use the money for medicine, etc. Thank you very much to anyone who can give me any information regarding this matter. It is greatly appreciated.

My mother was born in 1923 and worked till she was 72 and scrimped all of her life and supported a family and disabled husband until he died when she was 54 years old. She elected to recieve widows benefits from Social Security because she was promised that it would be to her advantage. After her Medicare is taken out, she gets $720 a month. She needs this bill to pass. Her name is Margaret June Berner.

Lisa Marie,
Anyone who contacts you and requests that information is involved in a scam.

I feel for your mother. Please get you family and friends involved. Have them write their congress person to show support for the bill. Also have them write their Senators to support S. 81 which is the companion bill in the US Senate. It needs to be passed. Seniors play an important role in providing income for small business. From what you hear from legislators and the media today small business is the mainstay of our economy. GOOD way to use stimulus money plus help the elderly in coping with their cost of living. Please be active in making these bills happen.
