According to Article I, Section 10 of the Constitution, "no State shall pass any ex post facto Law.''
I do understand, given our current administration, how it would seem plausable to introduce a new provision, which would make a person who paid their debt to society, to again, be made into a NEW criminal. http://www.cfcamerica.org

This just get more and more crazy. It has already been proven that re-offense is low, and is highest the first year after release. After the third year, it goes down to almost nothing. This is a worthless expense and a terrible violation of our constitution.
A recent study of our Legislators found that they got their education/information about sex offenders/offences from the Media. THAT should be criminal! If you are going to make laws that destroy over a million and a half peoples lives and does not protect our children, the least you could do is take the effort to read the hundreds of professional studies.

Yes, the studies show sex offenders have very low re-offense rates, yet corrupt politicians keep passing these bills that do nothing to keep anyone safe.
In fact, these laws harm more kids than they protect since many former offenders have children who are impacted and there are children on registries for non-violent crimes. These laws are insane and should be revoked.
