Detailed Summary
Community Protection Act of 2007 - Amends the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968 to authorize the Director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to publish, through the issuance of national flood insurance rate maps, specified notes to designate areas protected by certified flood control structures against at least: (1) the 100-year flood (1% annual chance); and (2) the 500-year flood (.2% annual chance).
Provides that publication of such a note shall not be considered a requirement of participation in the national flood insurance program.
