David Keller, FOER

At a time of substantial shortages in California water and damages to rivers and salmonids, this legislation would export large quantities of recycled wastewater originating from the Russian and Eel Rivers and from overdrafted Sonoma County groundwater basins. The water would be used to support large tracts of vineyards and other agricultural properties, instead of demanding maximized reuse of the treated wastewater to displace potable water demands in the cities. This is a misuse of federal funds, and should be defeated.
