This bill must exempt the small passenger vessel (under 100 GT) or countless small commercial vessel operators will be forced to close. The cost of Tier II compliant diesel engines is $100,000 as a minimum. The cost of a 1/2 fishing trip or evening dinner cruise will triple. Pleasure boats are now exempted. There are many more polluting pleasure boats than small passenger vessels.
