October 1, 2008, 11:46am (report abuse)Our tax money funds countless research projects on biomedical issues. Many of these health issues concern adults, late in life. Why not fund research into health issues that rob a child of their chance at life? Stillbirth is a devastating event that alters the life of the entire family, leaving parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and friends to grieve until the end of their days.
Please support this bill to fund research to understand the causes and to further the prevention of stillbirth - the death of a child before they can even take their first breath.

November 4, 2008, 2:48pm (report abuse)Thank You for putting that out there. I have had a stillborn it was 5 years ago yesterday and I would love to see more research and recognition of this issue. It would help in the aid of familys who are greiving from such a horrible loss. There is not feeling like that of losing your child.
