I have known Ryan Dant all his life. His father and mother Mark and Jean Dant, were told their son would not live past the age of 10. Thru their and others hard work in bake sales, golf tournaments, and donations, scientists stepping on board and attempts at curing the disease, Ryan is now in Community College and is 18 years old. This bill is designed to help not only Ryan, but other children with this disease that have exhausted thousands of medical dollars and their parents own money to the point that they would not be able to work due to earned income that they would make working. It is a miracle that these kids and young adults are alive. Please give them a chance to earn a liveable income and grow up as young adults contributing to society. Please pass this bill for not only Ryan, but all the other young people that only want to be able to contribute to society.

In the fight to cure diseases, finding the cure is not the end of the race. The real finish line is in enabling those afflicted with rare diseases to pursue full, meaningful, and independent lives. I strongly support this measure.

This is not a bill, this is a humans right. These children do not ask for these diseases, they are inherited by mutant genes from their parents. We are now finding therapies to keep these children alive, now we must take the next step and allow them to contribute to society and live full and productive lives. We live in a free and democratic society, let's practice what we preach and let them live the American Dream! Take down the hurdles, this bill MUST be passed.

This is a common sense, no-brainer, right thing to do bill. There is no additional cost to tax-payers. Let's give these children the same thing every young person in America should have - a chance to be a productive member of society. Please support this bill!!
