H.R. 5668, The Communist Chinese Olympic Accountability Act (6 comments ↓)
H.R. 5668 would prohibit Federal government officials and employees from attending the opening ceremonies of the 2008 Summer Olympic Games held in communist China based upon communist China brutalizing protesters in Tibet, supporting and enabling Sudan's genocidal regime, forcing a one child policy upon Chinese families, persecuting Chinese citizens for freely exercising religion, repressing free and independent labor unions, engaging in wanton environmental degradation, and systematically denying the Chinese people their basic freedoms.

I'm a Chinese and I'm living in China now. I also not very fullfill with our goverment in some aspects. For example, the controling of the medias. So I usually visit the websites of the media of America. But I doubt that the aim of this bill is not the human right of China. I think what you American concern is the "communist". I can tell you that I'm a CCP now! I hope the communist will exist in China as long as possible. I think we Chinese have the right to try. Right? I against you link Political with the Olympic Games. I think this will bring the Disgusting of Chinese people to you.

If passed it will place responsiblity for attending squarely on the shoulders of President Bush, who has chosen to ignore China's violations of U.N. and IOC rules. He has also ignored the pleas of those championing human rights, the environment etc. Let's see just how far he will push for his own impeachment?

Hogwash. Western China needs to be free from this socialist regime. We need to bring real democracy to Tibet. Western China needs to seperate itself from the communists and form it's own two-party democratic state.
