I attended the hearings on Friday March 28 in Flagstaff and I found the panel and most of the speakers to be uneducated and uninformed on the topic they were taking about and giving testimony about. It was interesting that one of the Congressman asking questions during the hearing was having difficulty distinguishing the difference between the drill holes Van was given permits to drill, mine waste and the mill tailings located in Moab, Utah. I strongly oppose this bill and want to see this area remain open for mineral entry. It is imperative additional field hearings are conducted in order for congress to get the facts supported by actual data and statistics prior to voting on this bill.

I am opposed to H.R. 5583 and want to make sure this bill is not passed in any form. This is an example of the democrates teaming up with the environmentalists and Indians in an attempt to withdraw more land from multiple use.
