March 1, 2008, 6:44pm (report abuse)Stop this bill. It is going to make it extremely difficult for children who have a definite need for growth hormone to get the medicine.

March 3, 2008, 11:17am (report abuse)This bill will have horrible ramifications far beyond the original intent of this bill. There are NO provisions to protect children who actually NEED these medications.

March 5, 2008, 3:01am (report abuse)I have a son who is growth hormone deficient. He is 11 years old. There are also 5 other diagnosis that he has that require him to take the growth hormone injection every night. PLEASE VOTE NO or OBJECT TO THIS BILL AS IT IS WRITTEN until you have heard from the parents of 16,000 children in the United States that also take this hormone. Senator Schumer, please step up to the plate and reconsider this bill and the affects that it will have on thousands of children who medically need the drug, but do not need the added cost, and possible loss of coverage that will occur if S877 is passed.

March 20, 2008, 10:16am (report abuse)As a father of a young boy with RSS this bill will significantly restrict my son’s access to the treatment. The requirements for oversight of his out of state Doctor are considerable. Many of the conditions that are treated with Growth Hormone are very rare. In rural areas there are not endocrinologists that are readily available to prescribe this medication.

Growth hormone replacment can prevent disease (including heart disease) and significantly improve quality of life with little or no risk. It is a shame that it has become a political (due to abuse in sports) rather than a medical debate.

November 21, 2008, 12:42am (report abuse)Hi. Syntropin offers all natural ingredients. There are no steroids or medication in it, only amino acids, vitamins, and other natural ingredients. The ingredients in Syntropin (http://syntropin.info) cause our body to make more of its own HGH, without using anything artificial. It isn't replacing our HGH, but increasing our natural production of it.
Thank you.
Nancy.
