I support for this Bill H.R. 4007, I don't see why these children have to take any kind of test to be an Citizen of United States, they are the children of United States servicemen in Vietnam, Laos, Thailand or Korea, so they are automatically become Citizen of United States eventhough they born overseas. America bringing them home thru Homecoming Act in 1988. PLEASE TREAT THEM RIGHT, BE FAIR WITH THEM.

I also admire Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren standing up for them. She is like a mother fights for the right of her childrens, I also admire Ms.Khuc Minh Tho who always beside her Amerasians childrens, all of them love and respect her as a Mother.

I thank you for all Americans who open their heart, their arms toward the Amerasians Fellowship Association in The Parade 25th Anniversary of The Black Wall - Washington, D.C. on November 10, 2007, I saw lot of tears from the crowd on both side of the street when they past by, and I also saw lot of tears from them - THE TEARS OF PROUD AND JOY.

I, 1 out of thousands Amerasian greatly appreciate Rep. Zoe Lofgren for her kindness to the Abandoned Children of the Vietnam War, The Amerasian. I am calling upon the kindness of all others Congressmen and Congresswomen to support the H.R 4007. Once again, this is a chance to show the world how's American open arms to reach out to each others even though Amerasian were not born within the US, but they still the children of the US servicemen and should be entitled to become a citizen without condition. The Homecoming Act itself declared the statues of the Amerasian. There are no reasons why should the children of the US servicemen are not allow to become a US Citizen. I Thankful all the Americans who are treating Amerasian as a human, which we were not been treated like one, once.

I am very ssure the HR 4007 will pass. No law makers should deny the legitimate right of Amerasians to get their US citizenship. Amerasians should have the same rights as children born overseas to US citizen parents, man or women.

As a member of Amerasian Fellowship Association, I fully support the bill. We are the sons and daughters of U.S. military personnel during the Vietnam war. We ARE entitled to U.S. citizenship as are the children of American citizens born outside of the U.S. I thank Congresswoman Lofren for introducing this bill once again. While anticipating its passage in the House and the Senate, Amerasian Fellowship Association are working closely with Representative Lofgren to ensure that this is the last time the bill needs to be introduced.

I support the bill H.R 4007. As a Vietnamese Amerasian, I'd shared a tremendous amount of endless obstacles to make it to the fatherland and then faced another wave of new obstacles. It's sad to see how our servicemen sacrificed their lives for the country and how little we did for them and their kids. It's time to recognize what they and their children deserve.

November 29, 2007, 1:55pm (report abuse)

After 15 years of having coming home to our Fatherland, lot of us still remain “ALIENS”. I often found a big question in my mind: Am I Vietnamese or American? Thru Vietnamese Amerasian Homecoming Act in 1988, almost 30,000 amerasians have arrived to America. We “childrens left behind” were hoping to find a new life in father’s land, but to a big surprised, we are not Americans even our fathers are Citizen of The United States. Our fathers are HEROES of The United States, The Black Wall has over 58,000 names of The Soldiers who lost their lives during the Vietnam Wars, and we are PROUD TO BE THE CHILDRENS OF THE U.S. SOLDIERS. I think it’s time for America to take full responsibility for us the Vietnamese Amerasian. We urge America support for this Bill H.R. 4007.

As an Amerasian, I understand how Amerasians were suffered under the communist regime in Vietnam after April 30th, 1975. We are labeled as their “enemy blood” and faced hardship in society. Communist has a “perfect” system of discrimination against toward Amerasians that destroyed their entire life by making them illiterate. Only very small percentages are lucky that completed high school or home school. But the rest are not even passed elementary level. Amerasians did not have a fair chance there.

I am currently a US citizen and a member of Amerasian Fellowship Association of United States; I endorse H.R 4007 and urge everyone to support us this bill as well. Thanks to congresswoman Zoe Lofgren is helping us with your tireless energy that 3 times introduces this bill to Congress. God bless you!

Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren said: "There is no doubt that Amerasians are the sons and daughters of American fathers. Our American government already made that determination when we admitted them to the United States as legal permanent residents. These individuals have lived through devastation during war, have been mistreated by their governments because of their mixed race and many now live in the United States, but only as legal permanent residents. Now is the time to treat them as the U.S. citizens they are and give them the equality they deserve."

She also said: "Amerasians deserve equal treatment under the law. It is time for us to finally close a chapter in our history that has too long denied Amerasians the equality of citizenship based on their father’s American citizenship".

Thank you Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren, thank you for speaking up for us. God Bless You.

Dear Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren and everyone in congress. Please pass this bill for the sake of your citizens who have been left in Vietnam for no reasons. They are truly USA citizens who have been neglected because of the war as well as the red-tape of our government. They are children of our heroes who fought and died in Vietnam that never even had a chance to see their children. Some of them did not even know they had children since they were either in battle fields, or returned home wounded physically, emotionally, and spiritually beyond capability to know that they are responsible for a child in Vietnam. This is a war crime that the USA have refused to recognize and now it is time to face the truth and do the RIGHT thing. Stop denying to our citizens by making excuses. Stop denying to God because he knows the truth and will punish us if we don't do the right thing. Bring the children home. Thank you. KP Luke Pham.
