H.R. 367, The Gang Elimination Act of 2007 (1 comment ↓)
H.R. 367 would require the Attorney General to develop a national strategy to eliminate the illegal operations of the top three international drug gangs that present the greatest threat to law and order in the United States.

I think that this bill has good intentions, however, it would be difficult, if not impossible, to identify ALL national threat drug gangs as well as a descriptions of these gangs. With over 800,000 drugs gangs located in the US nevermind outside of the US, it would be very difficult to do. Let's say that these drug gangs are eliminated, will there be a prevention plan to keep them from occuring in the future as well because throwing them in jail for 5 years or more probably isn't the best solution to this problem.
