Detailed Summary
Tailpipe Pollution Standards Act - Amends the Clean Air Act to require the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to issue to the governor of each applicable state, not later than 30 days after the date of enactment of this Act, a decision on each request for a waiver of preemption that: (1) has been submitted by the state; and (2) is pending as of the date of enactment of this Act.
Requires the Administrator to issue to the governor of the state a decision on whether to grant a waiver of preemption for a request that is submitted after the date of enactment of this Act not later than 180 days after the date on which the Administrator receives the request.
