This bill should not be passed!!! According to this if you have ever went to a therapis for any reason then you would never be able to own a firearm! The brady bill needs not to be "improved" it is already an infringement on the 2nd Amendment. If any thing it needs to be DISCARDED!

How does the Brady Bill infringe on Militia's having access to firearms? When the last time you read the WHOLE 2nd Amendment??

I do not understand why people are clinging to the archaic "right to bear arms". This is the 21st century! I am sad to see the world losing respect for The United States more and more everyday.

The NRA has stated its support of this bill. We need to prevent another Columbine, Amish School, Vtech slaughter by the mentally ill. First, take the guns away while someone is mentally ill and, then, genuinely treat these people--not just until their ins runs out.

taking away peoples guns is what the government will do anyway. but they will take everyones guns away not just the mentally ill, eventually. not one time in history has a government of a nation banned civilians from owning guns and a genocide not following. it just history repeating itself.

Hey gun hating troll Harvey Wallbanger the bradybill background check failed to protect the students at VT.

Gun hating troll Harvey Wallbanger since you want people held accountable for the death of people because of their actions, why not hold the gun haters accountable for pushing a gun control law that did not work.

IGNORANCE

Most people fail to realize that firearms held by law abiding citizens is a very powerful measure in both home defense and in keeping your power hungry gov in check. You take away the most efficient means to defend yourself and you are now completely powerless and are now a "subject" at the mercy of your government. It also sets in motion the rapid decay of the rest of your rights. We'd still be ruled by england if our citizens could not carry arms... learn from history and don't be ignorant. DC is a great example... took away guns and crime soared... only the criminals had the guns... how's the law abiding citizen supposed to defend themselves then?

I must agree, "firearms disabilities" as classified by Congress and the ATF are a gross violation of our rights. This bill may not create any more restrictions and merely enforces those that already exist, but still that is wrong. I really do not believe that a person with any felony conviction should be barred from gun ownership for life. Next thing you know, a traffic ticket will disqualify you.

Remain Vigilent-let your voice be heard!

Dear "outdated", You use the age of the 2nd Amendment as a valid reason to abolish it. So by that same rationale, you must also believe that the ENTIRE Bill Of Rights should also be abolished, or as you U.N. sympathizing, one world government supporting, Marxist s**theads would prefer: "BANNED"!!!

This is still America, a nation built on bullets and blood, a nation that still values the fighting spirit, that still values freedom above all else, a nation that will not be free so long as its people are unarmed.

American Veterans aren't being afforded equal rights under this law. Therefore, this law is a clear violation of the US Constitution. You don’t even have to mention the second amendment.
