Nutrition care is being neglected with the elderly. Please help support this bill.
D.Ballosingh, MPA, RD, LMNT
The importance in extending this coverage for Registered Dietitians (RD)and Licensed Medical Nutition therapist (LMNT) is crucial as they can reduce the curative costs associated with chronic nutriton related diseases especially to those vulnerable low-income population who would otherwise not have access to this kind of essential service. Additionally, having services such as this in Community health centers that serve the un-insured, underserved and minority populations fills a needed gap in the holisitic care of these demographics, who would not otherwise have the means to access.
