It seems fairly unlikely that this bill will survive the Senate as the Senate previously voted down a similar tax penalty on big oil & gas. Thoughts on this?

Don Smith

I oppose the energy package currently being discussed in the House of Representatives. This legislative proposal does nothing to address America's critical energy issues. Instead, it further harms American oil and natural gas production. This energy 'initiative' will not only hurt the ability of independent oil and gas producers to operate in the United States, but it will also harm American consumers, manufacturers and agricultural producers.

I recently started working for a Solar Power company. I feel great about my job. This bill will help create millions of jobs in green energy-Jobs you can't out-source to a foreign country. This bill will help millions of people install solar on their homes-Something they can be proud of for generations to come. One solar panel

Oil companies are making record profits yet are doing all they can to make sure that the TRUE costs of oil are EXTERNALIZED. The ruined land and water ways around the world; the respitory illness, cancer, and genetic defects; sending young men and women to risk their lives, limbs, mentle health and morality in oil wars. Turning our fellow nations into enemies. Corrupting our leaders and society into thinking this is somehow good.

There is a better way! The technology is Here & Now. States and other nations are already moving on this. Let's fulfill the real meaning of Leadership.

The Pickens Plan

Politically conservative oil prospector T. Boone Pickens is making a big (ahem . . .) splash with his proposal to generate 20 percent of the country’s electricity by building wind farms from the Canadian border to West Texas. In a public statemen...
