Reg: HR 2677. IMPACT ACT. As a nutritionist, I have seen how great the rate of obesity, diabetes has increased in the past 10 years and that is because people need education. There is not enough funding to encourage clinicians or health care professionals to do their jobs right. However with funding, this will encourage more health care professionals to study nutrition and assess patient properly. Right now because there is no prevention, the US is spending more money to treat than they would have for prevention. This is a necessary bill right now as people are dying for lack of knowledge about food as well as well as health care professionals not having enough funding to treat patients.
