The US has a lot of coastal water that has the potential of endagering the health of all Americans, not only those who use the ocean for recreation and sport fishing, but polluted sea water can effect major changes in the ecosystem and marine life. This in turn has already affected the seafood sold in the markets. A good website for information on safe seafood is : The Monterey Bay Aquarium website where you can download a seafood guide for regions of the US: www.seafoodwatch.org
Even though this bill seems only to provide a warning for people who use the beaches for recreations, we need to be aware that our sea waters are constantly being invaded by human pollution.

This is an area where government funding is for a public good, thus, appropriate.
