H.R. 2417, The Montgomery GI Bill Second Chance Act of 2007 (1 comment ↓)
H.R. 2417 would amend title 38, United States Code, and title 10, United States Code, to provide for an opportunity for active duty personnel to withdraw an election not to participate in the program of educational assistance under the Montgomery GI Bill.

Why would you deny your freedom fighters a second chance at education benefits after they have fought to keep you safe. When I enlisted 10 years ago, I left a great paying job to serve my country and by doing so lost 75% of my income. I could not afford to pay the $1200. It's not like you have to pay for it with your taxes, it comes straight out of MY check $100/month for 12 months. Thanks for are your support.
