October 1, 2007, 8:52pm (report abuse)the state of the school lunch program is pitiful, given what medical science now knows about the importance of fruits and vegetables in the human diet. We should be ashamed to feed our children "processed" foods, when all the research shows that chemically enhanced foods are causing major health disorders. If we are not quick to act, this may be the first generation of children who don't outlive their parents.
