H.R. 2074 would increase public safety by permitting the Attorney General to deny the transfer of a firearm or the issuance of firearms or explosives licenses to a known or suspected dangerous terrorist.

July 11, 2007, 8:55pm (report abuse)Companion to s.1237. This is a very dangerous bill not only by what it does, but by the fact it seems so small and inocuous that most people will not even hear about it. It could also encourage other bills of similar nature.

August 14, 2007, 11:09am (report abuse)H.R. 2074, The Denying Firearms and Explosives to Dangerous Terrorists Act of 2007, is the same as Senate Bill S 1237. This is the government’s way of trying to deny firearm ownership to law abiding citizens. It is also the government’s way of trying to confiscate firearms from the citizenry of this great country. I am a law abiding citizen; I have a pristine background and am the holder of a conceal carry permit in my home state. It is my right under the U.S. Constitution to own and bear arms. Stop trying to change the Constitution of this great country. Once the idiots of this country start changing the Constitution then where will it stop? It WON'T!!! If this bill is passed then it will mark the beginning of Nazism in the United States. Remember this: Not being a gun owner makes me a SUBJECT, but owning a gun makes me a CITIZEN!!!
Our government is trying to put a band aid on everything and that simply cannot be accomplished!

November 8, 2007, 5:38pm (report abuse)Define "Dangerous Terrorists". I want to know what these democrat, gun-grabbing bastards consider to be a dangerous terrorist! I like this part of the bill:`(H) The Attorney General may deny a license application if the Attorney General determines that the applicant (including any responsible person) is known (or appropriately suspected) to be or have been engaged in conduct constituting, in preparation for, in aid of, or related to terrorism, or providing material support thereof, and the Attorney General has a reasonable belief that the applicant may use a firearm in connection with terrorism.'. Do you see all of the arbitrary bullsh*t that any given Attorney General can use to define YOU as a "dangerous terrorist"?!

Have you not noticed that this version of the bill was introduced by Peter King (R-NY)? And that its co-sponsors include just as many Republicans as Democrats?
