Amie
Can someone who doesn't support this act explain to me why, other than the fear of socialism or communism because I think those arguments died in the 1980s. Really though, I can't comprehend why you wouldn't support this bill.
Debt Saddled
This bill would partially level the playing field between those who had to put themselves through college and those whose parents paid for their college. Graduating nearly $65,000 in debt is quite daunting. The current tax legislation does nothing for people in my situation. I'll be paying on my loans until I'm nearly sixty. With passage of this bill, I would be able to save for retirement, purchase a home, or save for my children's education.
