October 31, 2007, 4:36pm (report abuse)The extremely dangeous for-profit prison industry acts in secret, conceals the true nature of its shortcomings, and has not been subject to freedom of information statutes that would allow members ofthe public to access for themselves how bad it is. This bill would provide the necessary transparency to protect the public interest. For further info on this scandal, go to www.PrivateCI.org
