Bill Sweet
This bill simply changes the default from opt-in to opt-out. Any student who wants their directory information sent to the military recruiters must have their parent's written consent. This bill removes all the confusion and paperwork invovled in opting-out. Some schools do not follow sec.9528 of NCLB. Student's privacy is violated in this case and in others concerning language barriers, loosing paperwork, ignorance of the law, etc.
