H.R. 1307, The Veterans Identity Protection Act (1 comment ↓)

H.R. 1307 would establish the Office of Veterans Identity Protection Claims to reimburse injured persons for injuries suffered as a result of the unauthorized use, disclosure, or dissemination of identifying information stolen from the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Only 15 years late. My husband had is information stolen out of his medical records while he was in service in 1992. Then again in the most recent "stolen" laptop case.
