H.R. 1282, The Medigap Access Improvement Act of 2007 (1 comment ↓)
H.R. 1282 would amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to provide for guaranteed issue of Medicare supplemental policies for disabled and renal disease beneficiaries upon first enrolling under part B of the Medicare Program.

Why are there no comments on this issue? No wonder those citizens, many of whom have paid taxes for many of our working years (I still do even though, disabled, I am able to work parttime)have no insurance available to cover the huge gap between what Medicare pays and patient's co-pay (20% of charges). This can be a horrendous amount of a person on limited income. Is this bill just languishing in committee now?
