H.R. 1120, The Deleting Online Predators Act of 2007 (1 comment ↓)

H.R. 1120 would amend the Communications Act of 1934 to require recipients of universal service support for schools and libraries to protect minors from commercial social networking websites and chat rooms.

Requires censorship of all social networks, which could include this one! Requires yet another layer of bureaucracy. Opens schools and libraries to lawsuits if something slips through. Meddles in local control of public education. Requiring the website is superfluous, as anyone not knowing the dangers of the internet has not been paying attention to the news = living in a cave.
