Please add provision to this bill that permits the children of the filipino veterans to use substitute sponsor other than their immediate relatives. This is normally necessary when the old and ailing veteran or petitioner has passed away and no other immediate relatives is qualified to become a substiture sponsor.

Please consider also the reinstatement of all revoked approved petitions of veterans. NVC/CIS automatically revokes such petitions because the veteran who is the petitioner died during the long waiting period of the visa availability which usually takes 15 to 30 years....

the mere fact that my father was enlisted to the American Merchant Merchant Marine in the US Mainland, under American Merchant Marine act of 1936 and 1940, and 1942, my father was/is a US Citizen, because no one can be allowed to join the American mariner if they were not Americans under the law. Therefore, my father Dionicio D. Agcanas was/is American, and I derived my American Citizenship to my father automatically since birth even born outside the USA, which my father used to be LPR and US Citizen in Settle Washington and California from 1929 to 1947.

Long live America, and God bless America....

Senator D. Akaka with your untiring and unselfish support to the Filipino World War II Veterans, please push once more the reset button for the re-booting of the Family Reunification Act of 2009. The bill seemed to have hanged along the way. The vets who have been so patient awaiting for this bill transformed into law are now in their 80s and 90s. Their designed life are almost reached. As a son of one of these vets and in behalf of the rest of the beneficiaries, we pledge to be responsible enough NOT to become extra loads to the US but rather contributors in our own little ways to the good and well-being of the American communities of our destination....
