Before you vote against S.J. 6 Res., please read this Bill! It makes sense, it's a simple common sense solution, and is fair for all sides of the issue. Make sure you let your representatives in Congress know your opinion too!...

no they didn't otherwise they wouldn't have voted against it. if they bothered to read it, it states that unless your parents are here lawfully or are citizens themselves(well if one parent is a citizen) then you are not a citizen. and that is a darn good amendment...

Why would anyone want a bill that makes so much sense. Then again this is the federal government we are talking about... Seriously - read it it take about a minute....

Detailed Summary

Constitutional Amendment - States that a person born in the United States shall not be a U.S. citizen unless: (1) one parent of the person is a U.S. citizen; (2) one parent of the person is an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the United States who resides in the United States; (3) one parent of the person is an alien performing active service in the U.S. Armed Forces; or (4) the person is naturalized in accordance with the laws of the United States.
