Raising animals for food causes more greenhouse gases than transportation. We don't 'need' to eat animals, but those who make money off of them 'need' us to think so. Taxing them is just part of the solution. The real solution to world hunger, environmental pollution and our devastated health (obesity, heart disease, shorter lifespan), is not in turning of a light bulb, but in picking up your fork...a fork full of real live food. Plants can feed the world....

Remember folks, anytime you tax something that you need, like food. The prices will go up, more tax, equals higher food prices. This is not a scheme to help the environment,it's just another cow the government is trying to milk, as usual it's the taxpayer. How many more taxes can they dream up? How many more will be sucking at the governments teats. This idea to tax both ends of the cow has been tried before....

Yes I think it would be a great idea to tax animals who fart. Then next the rest of america can pay too. Pay your carbon tax to the NWO bankers. Great idea people...

OH my! Now this is an educational opportunity I would rather not have investigated. Because of this bill, HR 1438, I googled "livestock pollution." I did not know that livestock emit greenhouse gases and are responsible for our climate change as well as other environmental travesties such as acid rain! I think a TAX/FEE would be a great idea. Perhaps it could go into a fund to research ways to reduce livestock emissions! That way we are actually helping our farmers become better stewards of the earth and maintain their industry. VOTE NO on HR1438....
