This bill is important to protecting and promoting the cultural and historical resources of this region. It will facilitate coordination and planning of many agencies and organizations towards the same purpose and provide for economic development of the region at the same time....

The Lower Chattahoochee Valley has been a cultural center for all but the last fifty years of the last 120 centuries. The resource pool and potential still is staggering. This National Heritage Corridor can serve to revive the economy of this area. Congress should waste no time in enacting it for the sake of improving the national economy....

This bill would be invaluable for the lower Chattachoochee Valley and could help expand the work being done in one of the most interesting and historic areas of our country....

Alone this Bill will likely do little for the economies of the designated area. New transportation funding to include the area on the Interestate System will do more for the economies of the areas, particulartly SE AL and SW GA....
