Most criminals and terrorists already have guns. The good citizens of this nation deserve the right to protect themselves and each other wherever they travel. In Switzerland, every household is encouraged to own at least one gun. They have virtually no crime there. S 3207 needs to be passed....

S. 3207 would amend chapter 44 of title 18, United States Code, to allow citizens who have concealed carry permits from the State in which they reside to carry concealed firearms in another State that grants concealed carry permits, if the individual complies with the laws of the State.

Detailed Summary

Respecting States Rights and Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2008 - Amends the federal criminal code to provide for reciprocity for the carrying of certain concealed firearms in different states by persons who are not prohibited by federal law from possessing, transporting, shipping, or receiving a firearm and who are: (1) carrying a valid state license or permit for carrying a concealed firearm; or (2) otherwise entitled to carry a concealed firearm in their state of residence.

I will not be able to go home to Massachusetts this year, unless I give up my second amendment right to carry my handgun into the state. This is because Massachusetts refuses to recognize that I took my safety course in the state of Tennessee, & paid my license fee. Yet, they recognize my Tennessee Drivers license, & have no problem with me driving a 2 ton weapon into the state that is the number one killer of the age group 16-24. This Reciprocity Law is critical to preserving our constitutional rights. ~Dan Lee...

Why is this even up for debate? Is there some part of, "...the right to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" that seems overly complicated?...
