<description>I am scheduled for repair of my left rotator cuff &quot;full thickness tear with retraction&quot; prior to the diagnosis I had therapy to try and heal what was thought to be tendonitis. I can't use my left arm and I'm in constant pain especially at night. i will have to cancel the surgery because I have reached my cap - what is going on???? is this america????? wait for NOVEMBER...</description>

<description>We’re running out of time. On July 1, 2008, arbitrary financial limits on critical rehabilitation services will be imposed upon Medicare patients unless Congress takes action. Financial caps with no clinical basis will begin restricting access to outpatient physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology for the patients most in need of these services....</description>

<description>Not only are people being denied therapy that need, the quality of care changes when a therapist must complete therapy in a certain amount of time.  A therapist has to pick which impairments can be improved in that period of time and often leave other impairments untreated.  Also, research has shown that the therapy cap has just redistributed costs into inpatient rehabilitation which is more expensive than outpatient....</description>

<description>Too many people are unable to complete the therapy they need because they reach their cap.  This is America where we should be taking care of our elderly instead of making them suffer because someone other than one medically qualified determines they're done....</description>
